I am not finished with this website! I have been caught up by life again and have struggled to finalise some of the pieces I am working on. I am trodding along with some reading, writing and editing. In the coming weeks or months, you can expect some new content.
As a lone writer, forcing time to write is a serious hurdle. I am aware a true writer writes wherever they may be and will always write regardless according to pure habit. Unfortunately, I am not at that stage yet but on reflection, I realise I must and can do better. At least my time away from writing has not been wasted. I am reading widely, dabbling in some theology from H.H.H. Prince Ghazi, reflecting on the crises of our time. Alongside, I am reading the fantastic biographical and psychological account of the Trump family from Donald Trump’s niece herself, Mary L. Trump in her book: Too much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man. Who knew how deeply afflicted this man was from his upbringing. I also recommend all readers and writers Joe Moran’s book, a passionate writing guide to a good sentence. His book begins strongly by explaining the importance of a sentence. You begin to see how poorly written sentences harm the pleasure of reading. Without realising the craft, sentences grow longer, lose rhythm and fundamentally feel lifeless. I now recognise the duty a writer has to craft good sentences which support the reader’s journey through preached knowledge and emotions. His guide gets pretty technical, a practical proof to helping readers structure better sentences.
I will return soon with some new content as I squeeze some spare weekly hours on the blogsite. Say tuned for some continued self-help guides, recommendations and discussions from personal battles with life’s development.
