To celebrate Ubisoft’s 15 Years Anniversary of Assassins Creed, here is a gallery from my unforgettable journey through the greatest game in the series- Assassins Creed Origins. The game released in 2017 and remains an extraordinary design feat. Through immense research and attention to detail, it undoubtedly sits as the closest experience to seeing Ancient Egypt without being there- the vast deserts and mountainscape, the Great Pyramids and Sphinx, and the agricultural life of Ancient Egyptians are all present. I still sit in awe, looking at all the pictures. I can uniquely say as Bayek, I have traversed through Egypt’s hidden tomb, scaled the Pyramid of Giza, uncovered secret Papyrus scrolls and battled against grand Roman soldiers. The game’s Egyptian setting boldly touches on the arrival of the Romans, showcased by exquisite palaces, statues and Bayek’s thrilling battle against Caesar’s siege on Alexandria. I learned, saw and felt so much- thank you to all the developers and Ubisoft for granting us gamers this rich experience! Everyone behind the game should take great pride in this mammoth project. Assassin’s Creed Origins in the era of open-world games is to be forever relished.
